NUMO: grants for professional travel to Germany for artists, researchers and cultural managers
This is your ticket to your dream professional event in Germany. Plan a film premiere at the Berlinale, present your publishing house at the Frankfurt Book Fair, exhibit your work at Berlin Art Week, or come up with something else — the trip is up to you.
Go on a short business trip or a small residency — alone or with a team. The main thing is to be back by the end of 2025.
The grants are managed by the Ukrainian Institute in Germany, with support from the German Federal Foreign Office. This is one of thousands of EU opportunities for Ukraine.
- Opportunity to attend a professional event in Germany
- From EUR 500 to EUR 1,500, depending on the duration of the trip
- EUR 500 to cover additional expenses for people with disabilities
Grants support both individual Ukrainian specialists and teams of up to four people:
- Artists working in film, music, literature, visual or performing arts
- Cultural managers
- Researchers in the fields of cultural studies, history, Ukrainian studies, sociology or political science
- Completed application in English: education, professional experience and travel plan
- CVs of all trip participants
- Signed invitation or confirmation of cooperation from a partner in Germany

Applications are accepted until the budget is exhausted, so do not delay in submitting.
- You can submit only one application per trip, and you must submit it at least three weeks before the trip.
- Planning a trip with colleagues? Make sure you have one itinerary for everyone. The money will be sent to one account.
- The exact amount of the fee can be calculated as follows: a trip of up to two days — up to EUR 500, three to four days — up to EUR 700, five to ten days — up to EUR 1,000, a residency of more than a month — up to EUR 1,500.
