Scholarships for Ukrainian writers, translators and literary critics

Sector: Culture and creative industries

Due to russia`s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, writers lost the ability to create. Publishing houses have postponed the publication of new books. The media, which were platforms for the distribution of columns, essays and reviews, found themselves in a difficult situation.

PEN Ukraine offers Ukrainian authors UAH 30,000 to continue their work on artistic projects.

The initiative is offered by the PEN Ukraine with the support of the International Renaissance Foundation and New Democracy Fund in frames of the Rapid response fund programme. This is one of the thousands of EU opportunities for Ukraine.
