This opportunity is perfectly suitable for:

Artists (individuals, companies, or collectives) focusing their creative work and research on national and international efforts in contemporary creation for public space.

What is it all about?

This opportunity supports 

■ The production and distribution of creations for the public space and involving different organisations, similar to the Pergine Festival.

■ Interdisciplinary creations (performance, theatre, dance, new technologies, music, walks, urban games, explorations, installations, etc.)  structured to reinvent, reimagine and explore the public space through the temporary transformation of both the space and its relational trajectories.

■ Projects or participatory formats that engage public spaces, local populations, and/or designated social groups.

It also aims at

■ Producing projects which create a dialogue with the urban space and its inhabitants in order to encourage opportunities for production and distribution.

What do I get?

The call is divided into two sections:

A new production:

■ Financial support  amounting to EUR 9,500 (gross, including tax and social security contributions, artistic fees, production costs, specific technical needs, translation and travel)

■ Tutoring and creative support by designated partners for project development and promotion. 

■ 4/5 day kick-off meeting in Umbria (Italy) involving all the partners, in April 2020

■ Coverage of accommodation costs (between 5 and 14 days, accordingly) to re-adapt the project before each successive public presentation

■ Participation in a public round table discussing themes of creation for the public space and a series of research meetings with invited experts during the Periferico Festival (tentatively scheduled for the 2nd weekend in May 2020), covering travel and hospitality costs

■ Logistical support (permit requests, local contacts), basic tech support and tech personnel

■ Presentation of a first study in Friuli Venezia Giulia at In\Visible Cities – Contaminazioni digitali between 4 and the 14 June 2020

■ Presentation of a preview in Campsirago (LC) at Il Giardino delle Esperidi Festival between 18 and 28 June 2020

■ Debut of the project at the Pergine Festival tentatively scheduled on or about the second weekend of July 2020

■ Presentation of the project in Milan between September 2020 and May 2021 as part of the Zona K programme


A presentation of an already produced and presented project:

■ Financial support amounting to EUR 7,500 (gross, including tax and social security contributions and artistic fees, production costs, specific technical needs, subsequent translations, transportation and travel) for the presentation of one or more project iterations as part of 5 partner programmes

■ Full accommodation costs (double room) from 3 to 5 nights

■ Logistical support (permit requests, local contacts), basic tech support and tech personnel for set-up and tear-down
