Both established and emerging artists whose discipline is sculpture on clay and/or wood. 

What is it all about?

This opportunity

■ Supports an artist-sculptor who can propose a contemporary work inspired by the environmental setting of the municipality of Essoyes, the Aube department, and the Renoir tradition.

■ Aims to create original artwork to be unveiled in an event at the Camille Claudel Museum, at Association Tournefou, and via formal installation of the work at Camille Claudel museum.

Duration:

15 April to 15 June 2020

What do I get?

■ Full accommodation at Association Tournefou (value: EUR 2,500 + EUR 500 for administration costs): 35m² studio and private apartment, or flat with individual bedroom, and small kitchen, living room and dining room shared with another resident.

■ Creation-in-residence grant: EUR 2,000

■ Cost of materials, up to EUR 500.

■ If you don’t have a personal vehicle, it is possible to organise transportation during your residency from your accommodation to Essoyes, up to a total volume of EUR 500.

What do I need to apply?

■ A statement of intent describing your project and the necessary steps you envisage in order to carry it out

■ Your CV

■ A file presenting previously completed work, with an emphasis on your most recent work.

■ You must speak French.

■ You must possess a strong motivation for this residency, with a readiness to participate in public promotion and education regarding the project.

■ You must be motivated and show a sensitivity to communication of art.
